# RACE brand — quick reference

**Version 0.2.1-draft — OCT 30, 2026.** This is a working sheet, not a global brand approval.

**Who we are:** Renaissance Academie Cosmetology & Esthetics (RACE), Provo, Utah. The Master Handoff is the source of truth for approved technical setups, brand colors, program hours and locked pages. Long-form official school-name styling needs final confirmation against school/legal materials.

**Accessible color guidance — analysis, proposed usage rules:** charcoal on white or soft background; white on sage; charcoal on Hair Design, Master Esthetics, Nail Technology and Lash & Brow tones. **Avoid normal-sized white text on Cosmetology (`3.61:1`) and normal-sized charcoal text on Cosmetology (`4.09:1`)**. Cosmetology color works as borders/chips, or test separate approved text surface. Sage on charcoal fails normal-text AA (`2.98:1`).

**Typography — Arimo approved direction; sizing proposed:** body 17px/1.6, H1 fluid 40–56px, H2 fluid ~30–40px, H3 22px, 1,200px max content, about 65 characters per body line. Font file, weights and license need confirmation.

**Photo direction — approved in handoff:** realistic students, natural skin and light, black student tops, actual beauty tools, bright softly blurred classrooms/salons/spa/clinic. Avoid artificial faces, aggressive retouching and invented outcomes. Actual image masters and rights remain unresolved.

**Voice — proposed summary based on approved compliance:** clear, caring, confident, informative, practical and non-pressure. Prefer “Explore Programs,” “Request Program Information,” “Schedule a Tour.” Avoid guaranteed employment, earnings, licensure, aid or automatic out-of-state license transfer.

**Approved financial aid sentence:** “Financial Aid options where available for those who qualify.” Nail Technology is not an FSA program.

**Verified program hours (Master Handoff):** Cosmetology 1,250; Hair Design 1,000; Master Esthetics 1,200; Nail Technology 300; Lash & Brow Technology 270. Night School Tuesday–Thursday, 4–8 PM. Validate current start dates separately.

**Do not change:** global header/mobile nav; locked `/more-info/` and `/night-school/` pages; HighLevel forms/program values; shortcode/modal/attribution scripts; locked CTA routes. Consult handoff before edits.

**Proposed components:** sage+white primary button; outlined secondary; visible keyboard focus; minimum 44px tap targets; clear form errors; mobile single-column cards. No production-global CSS changes authorized by this draft.

**Assets:** 17 original JPGs and a supplied horizontal RACE PNG are available. Vector logo masters and formal logo rules, print, social, email and ad examples still require review.

**Friendly, genuine, and inviting to everyone.** Use warm, conversational, informative invitations. Avoid exclusive, salesy or unrealistic language. Specific example headlines and templates are still proposals.

**Assets provided:** transparent horizontal RACE PNG and 17 photographs. Mandy confirmed RACE public website/marketing use permissions for the supplied photographs and models on October 30, 2026. The underlying legal documents were not independently reviewed; logo use and proposed design treatments still need approval.
